MOSCOW. June 24 (Interfax) - The restrictions imposed on flights of Russian airlines to Georgia are not sanctions; this is a forced temporary measure aimed at ensuring the safety of Russian citizens, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday.
"These aren't sanctions, just temporary flight restrictions," Peskov told the press.
"The measures had to be taken because the chief of state, as president of all Russians, has to think about their security. That's why the decision was made," he said.
