Ukrainian Defense Ministry accuses Donbas militia of using banned mortars

KYIV. June 28 (Interfax) - Joint Operation Forces (JOF) in Donbas have come under nine attacks on Friday, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said in a statement on its website.

The enemy has mounted nine attacks by noon on Friday, June 28, it said. The adversary is actively using mortars prohibited by the Minsk Agreements, according to the statement.

No casualties have been reported among JOF personnel, it said.

The self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic, in turn, said earlier that two civilians had been wounded in an attack launched by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
