Kazakhstan ratifies protocol to CSTO agreement on military-technical cooperation principles

NUR-SULTAN. July 3 (Interfax) - Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed the decree ratifying the fourth protocol on the introduction of the amendments to the agreement on the main principles of military-technical cooperation between the parties to the Collective Security Treaty (CSTO) of May 15, 1992, the presidential press service said on Wednesday.

The fourth protocol was signed in Minsk on November 30, 2017. It is aimed at improving the mechanism of the implementation of the CSTO agreement on the main principles of military-technical cooperation between the member states and creating favorable conditions for cooperation.

As reported, the protocol envisages amendments in accordance with which the prices of military goods are to be formed in conformity with the supplier country's national law governing the pricing of military goods purchased by the national armed forces, other troops, military units, law enforcement agencies, and security services for their own needs.
