Five militants detained in Far East over past 18 months - Russian Security Council

VOSTOCHNY COSMODROME (Amur region). July 5 (Interfax) - Five militants and their 57 abettors have been detained in the Russian Far East since the beginning of 2018, Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev said at a visiting meeting in the Vostochny Cosmodrome.

"Two terrorist crimes were detected in the region in 2018 and the first five months of this year. Five militants and 57 terrorist abettors were detained," Patrushev said.

A terror attack plotted by a Khabarovsk resident at an education institution was prevented amongst others, he said.
