Russia aims to at least maintain arms exports' current level - Deputy PM Borisov

YEKATERINBURG. July 8 (Interfax) - Russia needs to preserve arms exports at the current level, Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov said on Monday.

"As regards arms exports, it is our task to at least preserve their current amount. We rank second in terms of arms exports [after the United States] but things are extremely complicated: we're experiencing the burden of sanctions and are fighting hard for arms markets. So, it is our task to at least preserve the existing amount, which would be a good thing," Borisov said at the Innoprom exhibition's session "Diversification of Defense Industry: Challenges, Opportunities and Support Tools."
