MOSCOW. July 9 (Interfax) - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov called on the United Kingdom, France, and Germany as parties to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) to intensify collective efforts to preserve the deal, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.
Ryabkov hosted consultations with the UK and French ambassadors and the German charge d'affaires ad interim in Moscow in the run-up to an extraordinary meeting of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) scheduled for July 10, the ministry said.
"The Russian side reiterated that all participants in the JCPOA, including Iran and the E3 countries, should intensify collective efforts in favor of preserving the agreements and ensuring their continued full-scale fulfillment based on the implementation of the relevant obligations by all parties involved, taking into account the reciprocity principle, on which the Action Plan was based originally," the ministry said in a statement posted on its website.
"It was also stated that systemic violations and subversive activities on the part of the U.S. are the main challenge obstructing the JCPOA's efficient implementation," it said.
