MOSCOW. July 17 (Interfax) - The deliveries of the state-of-the-art S-500 long-range air defense system to the Russian Armed Forces may begin in 2020, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov told Interfax in an interview.
"The deliveries are possible starting already in 2020. The system's elements have undergone preliminary plant trials and proved their characteristics," Borisov said.
"The system may be delivered in various versions depending on the solved tasks," he said.
Test launches of S-500 were successful, he said.
