Whereabouts of 69 Ukrainians being held in Donbas confirmed, info about 208 people requested from Kyiv - Kuchma's spokesperson

KYIV. July 18 (Interfax) - Darka Olifer, spokesperson of second Ukrainian President and Kyiv's envoy to the Trilateral Contact Group Leonid Kuchma, has announced preparations to the reciprocal release of prisoners who are being held in the self-proclaimed republics, as well as those who are being held at Ukrainian penitentiaries.

"The humanitarian subgroup confirmed the whereabouts of our 69 citizens, whom we seek to free. A total of 208 people, for whom the opposite side requests, are being held at Ukrainian penitentiaries," Olifer wrote on Facebook following the TCG meeting.

Agreements were reached to carry out the work in two parallel areas as soon as possible: the legal cleansing and preparations to the mutual release of confirmed persons and the further confirmation of captives, she said.
