Kremlin hopes to see concrete steps regarding Donbas truce (Part 2)

MOSCOW. July 18 (Interfax) - The Kremlin says it is hopeful that agreements on a ceasefire in Donbas reached in Minsk on Wednesday will be backed up by definite steps.

"The agreements reached in Minsk yesterday are highly important decisions. We hope this agreement will be backed up by concrete steps to prevent the resumption of gunfire and guarantee a truly comprehensive truce. It is very important," Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Thursday.

"What counts most is that in their phone call the two presidents confirmed their intention to look for ways for dialogue in order to solve challenging and acute issues," Peskov said.

The Trilateral Contact Group for settling the conflict in the east of Ukraine endorsed a ceasefire for Donbas indefinitely from July 21 at talks in Minsk on Wednesday.
