Russia keeping in contact with Guaido's reps - Lavrov

MOSCOW. July 23 (Interfax) - Russia is keeping in touch with representatives of Venezuelan opposition activist Juan Guaido and says that any attempts to provoke the meddling from the outside into Venezuelan internal affairs are unacceptable, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Tuesday.

"We have never ended the dialogue on the situation in Venezuela. We are actively talking with all representatives of Venezuelan political landscape, namely, with the government and with opposition activists, specifically people of Juan Guaido are getting in touch with us," Lavrov said in an interview with Latin American media and the RT TV channel.

"We explain to them that any attempts to resolve their internal problems by provoking the interference from the outside are unacceptable, while now we are seeing U.S.' constant threats: all options 'are on the table,'" the Russian minister said.
