Situation with missile launches in N. Korea politically lamentable - Kosachyov

MOSCOW. July 25 (Interfax) - The situation surrounding missile launches in North Korea is lamentable, head of the Russian Federation Council's Foreign Affairs Committee Konstantin Kosachyov, said.

All sides are interested in political solutions and any actions that contradict the UN Security Council's decisions are unacceptable, he said.

"This situation is highly lamentable in terms of politics (the military aspects should be studied by the military). None of the parties now has any reason to increase the degree of confrontation," Kosachyov told Interfax on Thursday.

All parties are supposed to have an interest in the political scenario, he said.

"No additional actions, let alone those that contradict the existing decisions of the UN Security Council, can be taken under any circumstances," Kosachyov said.
