MOSCOW. July 25 (Interfax) - Moscow and Ankara are discussing the prospect of organizing licensed production of some elements of the S-400 air defense missile system in Turkey; the necessary staff are now being trained, Rosoboronexport head Alexander Mikheyev said.
"A few Turkish professionals have already been trained in Russia. We will deliver the remaining systems in accordance with the schedule agreed by the parties and we will, within the same time period, train the bulk of personnel with regard to servicing and operating the system," Mikheyev told reporters on Thursday.
"Currently, we are in talks about further cooperation in this regard, including possible organization of licensed production of some elements of the system in Turkey," he said.
