MINSK. July 31 (Interfax) - Repairing the bridge near Stanytsia Luhanska will take several months, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe's special representative in the Trilateral Contact Group, Martin Sajdik, said.
"In all likelihood, their [the repairs'] length will take a few months," Sajdik told journalists in Minsk on Wednesday.
Demining of the adjacent area, "a natural precondition for conducting all repair work," will begin tomorrow, he said.
"This might prompt temporary restrictions on passage due to implementation of this point [near Stanytsia Luhanska]," he said.
Under agreements, fortifications must be removed immediately before the repairs can begin, he said.
The local checkpoint is expected to be used without interruption, Sajdik said.
