Syria's Idlib at center of discussions on 1st day of talks in Kazakh capital

NUR-SULTAN. Aug 1 (Interfax) - The situation in Syria's Idlib governorate has dominated the discussions of the participants in the 13th round of the Astana format talks on Syria in the Kazakh capital of Nur-Sultan on Thursday, an informed source told Interfax.

"We are discussing the situation in Idlib. Turkey is discontented with ongoing attacks by [Syrian] government forces. Representatives of Damascus are troubled by the situation in Idlib as well," the source said.

Nur-Sultan is hosting the 13th round of the Astana format talks on Syria on August 1-2.
