Flight tests held in orbit of 2 military satellites Kosmos-2535, Kosmos-2536 - Russian Defense Ministry (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Aug 1 (Interfax) - Two Russian military satellites, Kosmos-2535 and Kosmos-2536, which were put in orbit in July, will study the impact of artificial and natural space factors on the Russian orbital grouping, the Russian Defense Ministry told journalists.

"The Russian Defense Ministry is continuing flight tests of the satellites Kosmos-2535 and Kosmos 2536, designed for studying the impact on the satellites of the Russian orbital grouping of artificial and natural factors of outer space and for employing technologies for their protection and orbital maintenance," the ministry said.

The two Kosmos satellites were launched from Plesetsk cosmodrome on July 10. The Defense Ministry said previously that the satellites, besides studying the impact of artificial and natural space factors on the grouping currently in orbit, were intended for the calibration of the Aerospace Forces' radars.
