MOSCOW. Aug 2 (Interfax) - The global arms control situation is currently no better than during the Cold War era, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said.
Asked whether the world is safer now than during the Cold War, Ryabkov said on RT, "In the area of hard security, arms control and non-proliferation, I wouldn't describe the situation as such, rather I would say that on the famous symbolic clock that shows the time left to a nuclear conflict we have unfortunately passed yet another minute towards the midnight."
