U.S. withdrawal from INF Treaty disrupts global security, New START, NPT - Putin

MOSCOW. Aug 5 (Interfax) - The United States' steps toward the termination of the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF Treaty) will lead to the disruption of the existing global security architecture, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a statement.

"It is our belief that the actions taken by the United States that brought about the dismantlement of the Treaty on Elimination of Intermediate-Range and Shorter-Range Missiles will inevitably devalue and shatter the foundations of the global security architecture, including the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty and the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons," Putin's statement posted on the Kremlin website says.
