According to the ministry, it received a phone call at 10:59 a.m. about trigonox leaking from a tanker truck that stopped at the 829 km of the M-7 highway near the village of Zvanka in the Pestrichensky district. The substance is being leaked in the form of vapor due to a fault in the refrigeration unit, the department's press service said in a statement.

"No casualties have been reported, and there is no threat to residents," it said.

The tractor truck has been separated from the tank and left at a safe distance.

Tatavtodor organized the delivery of sand to the scene to erect a bund wall around the tank.

Trigonox was being transported to Sterlitamak, Bashkortostan from Belgium.

Trigonox is a colorless liquid. It can explode due to friction or an impact. In contact with skin, it causes dermatitis that is difficult to cure. The substance may cause effects on the central nervous system.
