MOSCOW. Aug 13 (Interfax) - Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev has met with his Armenian counterpart Armen Grigoryan in Yerevan, the press service of the Russian Security Council said on Tuesday.
"The sides discussed a wide range of issues related to interaction between the central offices of the Security Councils, law enforcement agencies, military agencies and special services of Russia and Armenia. They also touched upon trade and economic relations and exchanged opinions on regional security," the press service said.
Patrushev and Grigoryan also discussed the two countries' cooperation within the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Commonwealth of Independent States and other organizations, it said.
"The parties summed up the results of the Russian-Armenian security consultations that took place in Yerevan today and addressed interaction within international organizations in the interests of the national security of Russia and Armenia and also cooperation in information security," the press service said.
"At the meeting, Nikolai Patrushev stressed the importance of close interaction between Russia and Armenia in international information security both in the bilateral format and within international organizations," it said.
