MOSCOW. Aug 15 (Interfax) - U.S. National Security Advisor John Bolton's allegation that Russia is stealing U.S. military technologies is baseless; Russia keeps pace with the U.S. in designing hypersonic weapons, according to Federation Council Defense and Security Committee member Franz Klintsevich.
"This is an absolutely baseless allegation. It seems U.S. National Security Advisor Joh Bolton clings to the events of the 1940s when the U.S. nuclear monopoly threatened the very existence of the Soviet Union and it had to steal U.S. nuclear secrets," Klintsevich's press service quoted him as saying.
"Today's situation is completely different. To put it mildly, Russia is not lagging behind the United States in designing new hypersonic weapons," Klintsevich said.
