MOSCOW. Aug 15 (Interfax) - The investigation into U.S. citizen Paul Whelan, who is being charged with espionage, will be completed in September, his lawyer Vladimir Zherebenkov said.
"I believe the investigation will be completed in September when we start becoming familiar with the criminal case materials," the lawyer told Interfax on Thursday.
Some other investigative actions are also being taken in the case, he said. The investigator is expected to file a motion for the extension of Whelan's arrest at the end of the month.
