MOSCOW. Aug 23 (Interfax) - Russian State Duma speaker Vyacheslav Volodin has proposed to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) and the European Parliament holding a special meeting to discuss the issue of possible placement of U.S. missiles in Europe and the consequences of such a move.
"It would be right to convene an extraordinary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the CoE and the European Parliament to discuss the issue of the placement of American missiles in Europe. There is still a chance to avoid mistakes. In any case, parliamentarians should do all they can to do so," Volodin told reporters.
