Turkey receives another shipment of S-400 component parts

ISTANBUL. Aug 30 (Interfax) - Transport planes airlifted another batch of S-400 air defense missile system components to Turkey on Friday, an informed source told Interfax.

Two Antonov An-124 Ruslan heavy transport planes (tail numbers RA-82038 and RA-82014) and one Ilyushin Il-76TD landed at the Murted airbase in the vicinity of Ankara.

The second stage of S-400 deliveries to Turkey began on August 27.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said during his visit to the 2019 MAKS international airshow in Zhukovsky in the company of Russian President Vladimir Putin that the second stage of S-400 deliveries would be finalized in late September, while crew training would continue.
