Deployment of British drones to Persian Gulf to have negative consequences - Zarif

MOSCOW. Sept 2 (Interfax) - The United Kingdom's plans to deploy its unmanned aerial vehicles to the Persian Gulf will not facilitate security in the region, Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif said at a meeting at the Iranian Embassy in Moscow.

"Of course, our region won't be safe, if the military presence in it expands," Zarif said on Monday. "An increase of the military contingent in the Persian Gulf will certainly result in the lack of security in the Persian Gulf," he said.
