Next meeting of Trilateral Contact Group on Donbas settlement held in Minsk

DONETSK. Sept 4 (Interfax) - The meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on the settlement of the conflict in Donbas in Minsk is addressing ceasefire breaches, disengagement, prisoner exchange, and the "special status" of Donbas, the press service for the Foreign Ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) said in a statement.

"The next meeting of the Contact Group has begun in Minsk," the statement said.

The negotiation parties in the security subgroup discussed the escalation on the contact line and disengagement, it said.

"The negotiators in the group on humanitarian issues continued working on the main issue on the agenda, exchange of held persons, as well as the mechanism for searching for missing persons. The launch of a mechanism for paying pensions and repaying Ukraine's debt to railroad workers and the employees of the company Voda Donbassa, and also the steps to stabilize the operation of the enterprise remain the negotiation priorities of the republic's officials in the group on economic issues," the statement said.

The main issue addressed by the political group is the inclusion of the special status of Donbas in the Ukrainian Constitution.
