YEKATERINBURG. Sept 4 (Interfax) - The first trains carrying Chinese troops and hardware have arrived in the Orenburg region ahead of the Center 2019 strategic command-and-staff exercise, the press service of the Central Military District said in a statement.
"Two trains carrying servicemen and military hardware of the People's Liberation Army of China have arrived at this point for the Center 2019 exercise. The forward group of Chinese army officers was welcomed at the Orenburg airfield earlier," the statement quoted Central Military District Commander Alexander Lapin as saying.
The Center 2019 strategic command-and-staff exercise will take place on September 16-21. It will involve military contingents from China, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, India, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
