Investigation of suspected U.S. spy Whelan's case complete - lawyer

MOSCOW. Sept 4 (Interfax) - The Russian special service has completed its investigation in the criminal case against suspected U.S. spy Paul Whelan, his lawyer Vladimir Zherebenkov told Interfax.

"Today, the investigator officially told us that the preliminary investigation is complete, and we began studying the case files," he said.

The defense team will review the evidence until the end of the year, the lawyer said.
