Situation surrounding contract for S-400 systems supplies to India evolving positively - Peskov

MOSCOW. Sept 4 (Interfax) - India has a strong interest in military-technical cooperation with Russia, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said following talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"We also discussed such a sensitive, but very important matter of our cooperation; that is the relevant elements of military technical cooperation. Our Indian partners are really interested, and the discussion of this issue, I mean military-technical cooperation, was later continued during talks between the Russian and Indian delegations," Peskov told the Channel One.

At the talks, the parties also discussed the situation surrounding supplies of the S-400 missile systems to India, he said. The situation surrounding the contract is "favorable," Peskov said. "Yes, indeed, it was addressed, and everything here is evolving positively," the presidential spokesperson said.
