Medvedchuk says he'd like to meet with Putin on Thursday

VLADIVOSTOK. Sept 5 (Interfax) - Ukrainian politician Viktor Medvedchuk, who is taking part in the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, has said he would like to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"Only your president can make such plans," Medvedchuk said in response to Interfax's question whether he planned to meet with Putin.

"If he does, the meeting will be held. I'd like [to meet with Putin], but everything will depend on the wishes of the Russian president," Medvedchuk said.

He declined to say which issues he would like to discuss with Putin.
