KYIV. Sept 12 (Interfax) - Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) are searching the premises of state-run Corporation Ukroboronprom and its enterprises engaged in export operations.
"All investigative actions that are taking place there have been authorized. They are being held as part of a pre-trial probe into abuse of office by officials representing the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine in 2016," the SBI said on Telegram on Thursday.
According to the bureau, investigators are doing their job without impediment: they are seizing documents and other things that will serve as evidence. "The SBI does not exert any pressure, and there is no impediment from the side of Ukroboronprom as well," the SBI said, promising to provide details later.
In turn, Ukroboronprom confirms this report and announces that information and documents at the request of investigators will be provided in full. "State-run Corporation Ukroboronprom's management will assist in any authorized investigative actions related to criminal proceedings against the Corporation and its affiliated enterprises," the company's press service said.
Employees of Ukroboronprom earlier voluntarily provided the information and documents requested by law enforcement officers as part of this criminal proceeding.
