KYIV. Sept 13 (Interfax) - The so-called Steinmeier formula for settling the conflict in Donbas will be discussed at an upcoming meeting between the leaders of the countries involved in the Normandy-format talks, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said.
"The Steinmeier formula and all provisions of the Minsk Agreements will be considered, and a decision will be made by the leaders of the four countries," Zelensky said at a joint press conference with Finnish President Sauli Niinisto in Kyiv on Thursday.
The countries involved in the Normandy-format talks are France, Germany, Russia, and Ukraine.
Ukraine will be firmly defending its national interests in the Normandy-format talks as regards the implementation of the Minsk Agreements, he said.
"We will work and we will struggle to defend every drop of our Ukrainian interests," Zelensky said.
He suggested that all clauses of the Minsk Agreements need to be discussed at this meeting.
"You know that I didn't sign the Minsk Agreements. But you and I understand that responsibility currently lies on me. Nobody can lift this responsibility because this is our country," he said.
