Tsemakh returns to Donetsk People's Republic

DONETSK. Sept 13 (Interfax) - Former Donetsk militiaman Vladimir Tsemakh, who was handed over by Ukraine to Russia in a recent prisoner exchange, has returned home to the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), his daughter Maria said.

"Yes, we are back. Dad is at home," Maria Tsemakh told Interfax on Thursday evening.

Tsemakh previously lived in the town of Snizhne. When the armed conflict began in Donbas in 2014, he became air defense commander there. It was in Snizhne that Tsemakh was captured by Ukrainian security services in late June of this year and moved to a Ukraine-controlled area. His daughter lives in Khartsyzk.
