Zelensky expects OSCE SMM to honestly record all ceasefire violations in Donbas

KYIV. Sept 16 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he would like the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine (OSCE SMM) to record all ceasefire and human rights violations in the conflict zone in Donbas honestly and fully.

"I would like to thank the OSCE mission. We expect one thing from it; namely, that its verification should be honest and strong. We want the OSCE mission to record every step, every violation, every shot, and every life of our Ukrainian citizens," Zelensky said in reply to a question from journalists at a news briefing following a meeting with Slovak President Zuzana Caputova in Kyiv on Monday.

Citizens of Ukraine, European countries, and Russia must see what is happening in reality, he said.

"Everyone should know the truth. I understand not everyone can be on the frontline, like us. Therefore, I would like the OSCE to record all violations and all media around the world to cover this," Zelensky said.

He also told the OSCE mission "to take care, because we need them."
