Rosoboronexport head estimates market for anti-drone systems at billions of dollars (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Sept 17 (Interfax) - The anti-drone market is worth billions of dollars, Rosoboronexport head Alexander Mikheyev said.

"Essentially, a new niche in the global arms market is now being formed - the fight against unmanned aerial systems, the potential of which is estimated at billions of dollars, while the damage from ignoring such a threat may be considerably higher," the press service for the Rosoboronexport cited Mikheyev as saying.

The latest events show that the efficient fight against reconnaissance and attack drones, as well as other aerial attack systems, is growing more important in order to protect vital facilities, including strategic transportation hubs, and the infrastructure of key oil and gas and nuclear energy enterprises, he said.
