MOSCOW. Sept 18 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and Saudi Crown Prince, Defense Minister Mohammad bin Salman al Saud have discussed on the phone the situation created by the attack on Saudi oil facilities, the Kremlin press service said in a statement.
"The situation created by the attack on Saudi oil facilities has been discussed. Vladimir Putin has expressed concern and called for a thorough and impartial investigation of the incident," the statement, which was seen by Interfax on Wednesday, said.
The sides also "discussed the situation on the global hydrocarbon market, including the implementation of agreements reached in the OPEC Plus format. They expressed the mutual desire to continue close coordination of effort towards stabilizing global oil prices," the statement said.
In addition, they conferred on preparations for Putin's visit to Saudi Arabia.
The phone call "was requested by the Saudi side," the statement said.
