MINSK. Sept 19 (Interfax) - The number of ceasefire violations in Donbas has drastically increased on certain days, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe's (OSCE) Special Representative Martin Sajdik said at a briefing in Minsk on Wednesday.
"According to the OSCE SMM's [Special Monitoring Mission] estimations, the number of violations of the ceasefire on certain days has increased of late," Sajdik said at the briefing following a meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) for the settlement of the conflict in Donbas.
In this light, he "earnestly reminded" the parties to the conflict "about political responsibility" and urged them to adhere to the obligations they assumed.
At the same time, Sadjik stated that the current truce agreed by the TCG and effective as of July 21 is the longest since the beginning of the conflict.
He additionally mentioned the progress in the implementation of the TCG decisions on the restoration of the bridge in Stanytsia Luhanska. "The preparations for the repair are now well under way," Sadjik said.
