MOSCOW. Sept 19 (Interfax) - Russian President Valdimir Putin is due to visit the Orenburg region on Friday to watch the main phase of the Center 2019 strategic command-and-staff exercise at the local Donguz training range, the Kremlin press service said.
"A bilateral meeting between the Russian head of state and President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbai Jeenbekov will be held at the training range," the press service said.
The main phase of the Center 2019 exercise will see Armed Forces contingents from Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, India, China, and Pakistan jointly practice repelling a mock enemy attack.
Around 128,000 servicemen, more than 20,000 weapons and units of military equipment, and some 600 aircraft are taking part in the drills.
