IZHEVSK. Sept 19 (Interfax) - The Russian Armed Forces are being provided with weapons according to plan, and over 2,000 new and modernized units of weaponry have been delivered to them, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the 2nd National Gunsmith Forum.
"The preliminary outcomes of the current year show that the rearmament of Russia's Army and Navy is going according to plan," Putin said.
"Over 2,300 new and modernized items of weapons and hardware have been delivered to the Armed Forces up to mid-September. That is nearly 50% of the target figures," he said.
