Civilian woman wounded in attacks in Donetsk, serviceman wounded in Kyiv

DONETSK/KYIV. Sept 23 (Interfax) - A civilian woman was wounded in an attack on the settlement of Kominternove, a representative of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's republic (DPR) told reporters in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Parties (JCCC).

The Ukrainian troops "opened fire from the populated area of Talakovka in the direction of the populated area of Kominternove using surface-to-air systems, large-caliber guns and forearms at 12:45 p.m. today. A woman born in 1952, who lives at 50 Akhmatova Street, and who was in her garden, was wounded in the attack," he said.

The woman was wounded in the thigh, he said. The JCCC official said three civilians had been wounded in the past week and 155 ceasefire breaches had been recorded.

In the meantime, the press center for the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said on Monday that a Ukrainian serviceman had been wounded as a result of 18 attacks on Ukrainian positions by the militia of the self-proclaimed Donbas republic on Sunday and in the early hours of Monday.

"One JFO serviceman sustained medium-degree wounds over the past 24 hours," according to a report released on Monday morning.
