MOSCOW. Sept 26 (Interfax) - The Minsk Agreements are the only document which could serve as the foundation of the Donbas peace process, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told the press on Thursday.
Journalists asked whether the Kremlin viewed the Minsk Agreements in the context of Ukraine's federalization. "The Minsk Agreements can be compared to anything, yet this is a self-sufficient document, which is fundamental to the intra-Ukrainian settlement," Peskov said.
"This is the document signed by the guarantor countries, Ukraine itself, and representatives of the unrecognized republics. It does not matter in this case to what the Minsk Agreements are compared. Most importantly, the only way to settle the internal Ukrainian problem is to fulfill the obligations formalized by the Minsk Agreements," Peskov said.
