MOSCOW. Sept 27 (Interfax) - U.S. sanctions against Russia have proven to be ineffective, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in comments posted on its website.
"The sanctions imposed by the United States on September 26 against a number of Russian citizens, several vessels, and one company, are the 75th package of restrictive measures endorsed since 2011, when Washington wrapped up its own policy of 'reset' and started destroying bilateral relations. The authors of the U.S. sanctions have never attained their goals. This time we can say they have outdone their own audacity," the commentary said.
The sanctions are not new to Russia, the ministry said, adding that it strongly condemns the cynical and unprincipled policy of Washington.
