Soyuz MS-12 capsule successfully lands in Kazakhstan

MOSCOW. Oct 3 (Interfax) - The landing capsule of the Soyuz MS-12 spaceship manned by Alexei Ovchinin of Russia, Nick Hague of the United States, and the first astronaut of the United Arab Emirates, Hazzaa al-Mansoori, has successfully landed in Kazakhstan, Roscosmos said in a statement.

"Landing accomplished," the Russian Mission Control Center said in a statement.

The capsule touched down 147 kilometers southeast of Zhezkazgan in Kazakhstan, and rescue parties headed for the site.

Soyuz MS-12 undocked from the ISS at 10:37 a.m. Moscow time on Thursday. The landing capsule separated from the habitation module, which burned up in dense layers of the atmosphere in the course of descent.
