MOSCOW. Oct 8 (Interfax) - Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov has said that it is necessary to wait for official confirmation of reports about the United States' withdrawal from the Treaty on Open Skies.
"One needs to treat all of these claims very cautiously and try to wait to hear any more or less official confirmation," Peskov said upon being asked to comment on the U.S.' possible withdrawal from the Treaty on Open Skies.
There have been no official statements on that score thus far, he said.
"U.S. media can be considered as a reliable source [of information] to a far lesser extent at present, given the storm that is raging in the information field in America today," Peskov said.
