DONETSK. Oct 8 (Interfax) - The disengagement of forces and military hardware in the village of Petrivske will start on October 9 and will take three days, a representative of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) to the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) told reporters in a statement.
"In accordance with the schedule approved in Minsk for resuming the sides' commitments related to the implementation of the framework decision, the head of the DPR mission to the JCCC and [the DPR delegation to] these talks notified the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission [SMM] today, on October 9, 2019, of the readiness to start the disengagement of forces and hardware in the third disengagement sector [Petrivske] near this populated locality. On Wednesday, October 9, after the OSCE SMM confirms the Ukrainian Armed Forces' readiness to take synchronized symmetrical steps to resume the disengagement of forces and hardware, a process will be launched to address violations recorded by the mission - the withdrawal of detected weapons and armed persons from the line of disengagement, which will take three days," the statement said.
The DPR militia is prepared to launch these measures and will set off a white flare in confirmation of its readiness on Wednesday, it said.
"The DPR mission to the JCCC has received the DPR militia's consent to additionally observe the ceasefire and confirmed security guarantees for the period these measures," the statement said.
