PETRIVSKE, DPR. Oct 9 (Interfax) - The Armed Forces of Ukraine have disrupted the schedule of disengagement in Donbas approved by the Trilateral Contact Group, the office of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) said in a statement.
"The Armed Forces of Ukraine disrupted the schedule for disengagement of forces on a section near the populated area of Petrivske today, on October 9. The Ukrainian side never sent the OSCE SMM a notice of its readiness for disengagement," the text of the report said.
According to the approved schedule, the sides were expected to fire signal rockets confirming their readiness for disengagement, the report said. Despite the fact that the DPR People's Militia fired several white signal rockets, no signals were given by the Ukrainian side in response.
"Accordingly, the process for fixing the violations registered by the OSCE SMM did not start through the fault of the Ukrainian side. A second attempt to resume withdrawal will be made tomorrow," the JCCC said.
