RIYADH. Oct 14 (Interfax) - Military-technical cooperation between Russia and Saudi Arabia was discussed during Vladimir Putin's visit to Riyadh, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told journalists.
When asked whether the deliveries of the S-300 or S-400 systems to Saudi Arabia were discussed, Peskov answered that that he has nothing to say yet. "It is being discussed," he said.
"We have nothing to say, there are plans, hopefully, this dialogue will continue," the presidential spokesperson said.
The deliveries of the air defense systems to Riyadh are one of the promising topics in the sector of military-technical cooperation.
In mid-September, the Russian president offered Riyadh to purchase the S-300 or S-400 air defense systems to protect its infrastructure after the attack of drones and missiles on the Saudi oil facilities.
