MOSCOW. Oct 15 (Interfax) - The draft of new regulations on licensing space operations produced by Roscosmos on October 10 will increase their availability for innovative projects, the state corporation reports.
"The initiative is aimed at removing administrative barriers to obtaining a license for space operations. Updating mandatory licensing requirements will make the state service of licensing space operations more available to entities implementing innovative projects in the sphere of space," a report on the Roscosmos website says.
According to the report, the holder of a license or applicant is no longer required to produce a field performance specification or have a program of studies and experiments employing space equipment.
"The license holder is no longer required to have a representative of the Defense Ministry," the report says.
In addition, the new regulations specify the list of operations and services requiring licensing to components of rocket and space equipment.
The draft resolution of the government on licensing space operations was posted on the federal portal of draft legal acts on October 10.
It was worked out together with representatives of the business community (including the cluster of space technologies and telecommunications of Skolkovo fund), Roscosmos reports.
