'New terms' of Minsk Agreements set by Kyiv come as surprise for Moscow, Berlin, Paris - Peskov

MOSCOW. Oct 16 (Interfax) - The dissolution of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics, which has been proclaimed by Kyiv as a condition of fulfillment of the Minsk Agreements, comes as a surprise to the Kremlin and the other parties to the Normandy format, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"Once again, there are new terms. The Ukrainian side continues to set new terms as it goes. It can be stated with confidence that such new terms come as a surprise to Moscow, Berlin, and Paris. It is hard to tell whether this is a deviation from the Minsk Agreements, renouncement of the earlier obligations, or revocation of the earlier signatures. This is as of yet unclear," Peskov told the press on Wednesday.
