MOSCOW. Oct 17 (Interfax) - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko has met with leader of Transdniestria Vadim Krasnoselsky, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.
"The sides discussed a range of issues related to the provision by Russia of multi-faceted assistance to Transdniestria with the aim of supporting socioeconomic stability on the left bank of the Dniestr River," the ministry said on its website.
Rudenko and Krasnoselsky also discussed today's state and prospects of Transdniestria settlement talks, including the outcomes of a recent meeting of the Permanent Conference in the 5+2 format in Bratislava, it said.
"The sides reaffirmed the relevance of this format to facilitating steps to resolve practical issues of interaction between the two banks [of the Dniestr River]. They also underlined the need for Chisinau and Tiraspol to fully implement the agreements reached in 2017-2018 and noted the positive role of contacts that are continuing between the sides at all levels, including the highest," the ministry said.
