Ballistic missiles launched from subs hit targets on firing ranges - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. Oct 17 (Interfax) - The strategic submarines of the Northern and Pacific Fleets have hit targets on the firing ranges Kura and Chizha with ballistic missiles, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

"The strategic submarines of the Northern and Pacific Fleets launched ballistic missiles at the firing ranges Kura on Kamchatka and Chizha in the Arkhangelsk region from the Barents Sea and the Sea of Okhotsk," the statement said.

"At the same time, the surface ships of the Northern Fleet and the Caspian flotilla launched high-precision Kalibr cruise missiles from the Barents Sea and the Caspian Sea at the targets on the coast," it said.
